The Clinical Consultant Ph.D. Psychologist is responsible for individual and group clinical consultation with staff and student interns. Additional duties may include participation in crisis response, DEI initiatives and agency workgroups. Regular work hours are expected to be Monday through Friday 9:
00 a.m. to 5:

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide individual and group clinical consultation with staff.
  • Participate in the clinical supervision and oversight of student interns, including various college and university best practice standards.
  • Provide clinical chart reviews and oversight through use of the Electronic Health Record (PCE).
  • Maintain written records necessary for clinical supervision as defined in the policy and procedural manual.
  • Assist with crisis and trauma debriefing as related to staff involved in agency and/or community events.
  • Participate in agency Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives.
  • Lead and/or participate with workgroups/trainings on various clinical projects.
  • Review and interpret the results of psychological evaluations with interns and staff.
  • Complete 25 hours of program or position specific training on an annual basis
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  1. Doctorate degree in Psychology from an accredited college or university.
  2. Must have and retain a valid LP in Psychology with the State of Michigan.
  3. Have at least five or more years of experience in the examination, evaluation and treatment of adults, children and families.
  4. Must have adequate knowledge of the community mental health service delivery system.
  5. Must have experience with individual and group clinical consultation and supervision. Experience in the mentoring of student interns is preferred.
  6. Effective interpersonal communication skills, the ability to assess and intervene within complex family and community systems, and a willingness to be flexible, patient and creative.
  7. Experience with testing instruments including WAIS, WISC, Vineland, ADOS and ADIR is also preferred.
  8. Must have the ability to develop relationships and work collaboratively with administrators and staff at the agency.
  9. Candidate selected must obtain the credentials of Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP), Children's Mental Health Professional (CMHP), and Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) within 120 days of hire.
  10. Must have MDHHS Central Registry and Police clearance. A current valid driver's license in favorable standing is required.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
